International Youth Solidarity Association (UGDD) is a non-profit NGO established in 2014 in Ankara. UGDD designs and implements non-formal education programmes to strengthen young people’s skills, talent development, leadership and civic engagement, with a particular focus on young people with fewer opportunities. The organisation uses experiential learning and outdoor-based approaches to motivate young people to take initiative, assume responsibilities and build competences beyond formal education. UGDD operates through educational, social and cultural project strands, and collaborates with local stakeholders such as municipalities, youth centres, theatres, libraries, universities, schools and chambers to increase local ownership and impact.
